1.a) Discuss the various schemes for representing floating point numbers.
b) Simplify the following Boolean function in sum of products form by means of a four variable map. Draw the logic diagram with AND-OR gates. F(A, B, C, D) = S(0,2,8,9,10,11,14,15).

2. Explain the concept of cache memory with a neat diagram and the three types of memory mapping techniques used to implement cache memory.

instructions, how many one-address instructions can be formulated.
