1.a) Mention six different features of Indian English with examples.
b) Rewrite the following sentences effecting necessary corrections:

(vi) Bill Gates is considered as the prophet of a new era.

2.a) In what ways is formal conversation different from informal conversation?
b) Give an example for each of the two modes of conversation.

3.a) What are the different methods of reading?
b) Mention the techniques of fast reading.
c) How can fast reading help scientists and technologists?

4. To conduct meetings effectively, the chair person must demonstrate leadership qualities. Identify these leadership qualities and illustrate how they make a meeting successful.

5. To be able to face an interview for recruitment, planning, preparation and presentation play a crucial role. Clarify how you would attend to these three activities.
